Shericka Cunningham is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with more than seven years of experience in behavioral health services. At Metro Healthy Communities, she provides therapy to individuals and couples, supporting clients through emotional, relational, and life challenges.
Her professional background includes substance dependency services, targeted case management, and family intensive treatment, where she provided in-home therapy and support to children and families. She also interned at North Tampa Behavioral Health and with the Gulf Coast JFCS Kinship Support Program, gaining experience in inpatient behavioral health and kinship-focused support services.
Shericka incorporates trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) into her clinical work. She uses these modalities to help clients process trauma, develop coping and emotional-regulation skills, identify strengths, pursue meaningful goals, and strengthen relationships.
Shericka earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from the University of Memphis and a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from North Central University. Her educational journey included clinical internships in both inpatient and outpatient services.
Shericka is a Professional Member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling with her husband, attending comedy shows, and taking daily walks.
