Meet Christopher Garnett, an accomplished HIV Specialist credentialed by the American Academy of HIV Medicine. Hailing from Lima, Peru, Dr. Garnett’s dedication to medicine transcends borders.
Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM), Dr. Garnett’s credentials underscore his exceptional expertise and commitment to excellence. He furthered his medical and public health education at the University of Kentucky, earning his medical degree and a Master’s degree in Public Health in 2012.
After completing his internal medicine training at Emory School of Medicine in Atlanta in 2015, Dr. Garnett pursued the HIV Care training pathway for residents, driven by his passion for comprehensive care. This journey culminated in his prestigious credentialing as an HIV Specialist by the American Academy of HIV Medicine.
Dr. Garnett’s unwavering mission led him to New Orleans, where he joined Crescent Care, focusing on healthcare services for the Latinx and LGBTQ communities. His compassionate approach and cultural sensitivity have fostered a healing environment for these vital populations.
Beyond his medical endeavors, Dr. Garnett is an advocate for the Latinx and LGBTQ+ communities, expanding his work to include vital PrEP and nPEP services for HIV prevention and care.
Outside his professional sphere, Dr. Garnett enjoys the vibrant Mardi Gras and Gasparilla parade cultures of New Orleans and Tampa Bay, actively participating in various krewes throughout the year.
