About Lea Ann
Meet Lea Ann. She brings an impressive 35 years of medical expertise to METRO, with the most recent 25 years dedicated to serving as a Pediatric & Family Nurse Practitioner. She earned her RN degree in 1986 and her BSN in 1991 from the University of Kentucky. During the initial decade of her career, she gained invaluable experience in pediatric, orthopedic, and outpatient surgery units. In 1991, Lea Ann transitioned to a nursing instructor role and ultimately became an Assistant Professor of Nursing at Elizabethtown Community College, affiliated with the University of Kentucky. Her focus has primarily centered on pediatric care, with the last 15 years at Norton’s Children’s Medical Associates, affiliated with the University of Louisville School of Medicine.
Lea Ann’s personal life is just as fulfilling as her professional one. She is happily married, the proud parent of two adult children, blessed with two grandchildren, and shares her home with a delightful assortment of rescue animals. Outside of her career, she enjoys kayaking, nature walks, bird watching, and indulging in her passion for painting.
