About Shalim

Shalim Shael Ramos Perez is a Florida Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Certified Trauma Specialist passionate about providing trauma-informed care to children, adolescents, and families. Shalim earned a Master of Education in Mental Health Counseling from Cambridge College and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Antillean Adventist University, with specialized training in cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and emotional regulation.

Shalim’s clinical background includes outpatient, telehealth, and community settings, where Shalim developed strong skills in biopsychosocial assessments and crisis intervention. At Metro Healthy Communities, Shalim is excited to join a mission-driven team dedicated to holistic and culturally responsive care. Shalim looks forward to building long-term relationships with patients in the Tampa Bay community while advocating for accessible, compassionate mental health support for all.
